I picked up a few new items I had glazed at Seattle Pottery Supply this week. I used to make porcelain sculptures from scratch when I had access to kilns and such, but now I’m an amatuer again buying the pre-fired bisque items!
Seattle Pottery Supply has such soul as a store. When I picked up my stuff I looked up and around at all the photos, notes, signs posted on their walls over the years. I heard on the radio today that Hardwick’s hardware store, a University District icon since the early 20th century, is closing. Family operated all these years the reason is high property taxes.
Thanks, Seattle (NOT!).
