How long it takes to read the world’s most popular books graphic

It took me one year to read Ulysses, including a guide by I don’t recall who. The fun part of it was that I was working at an open lunch counter where I wore a shirt hand painted with, “I am on page ___ of Ulysses,” — and I would write the page # on paper and pin it in the blank spot. One of my favorite bits is where Joyce describes the atmosphere of a room as ‘bisquity’ like a mist of flour in the air.
